He is most widely understood to be a do-nothing republican, his greatest accomplishment in twenty years of retaining the representative position is giving the [[MoDot]] funding for seasonal resurfacings. He is not the type of individual to stick his neck out for his constituency, rather than a lot of more prominent ones would and should. Ask any constituent about what he has done for their locality and they may only mention the fact that roads in his district are being resurfaced 3/4 of the year.
