Anglesey is known as the breadbasket of Wales, being the main area of [[arable farming]] within the principality, and, on similar lines, as ''Mon Mam Cymru'', 'Anglesey, the Mother of Wales' (for its bountifulness). ''Ynys Mon'' is the Welsh for Anglesey.
