I have to say that I suspect that a lot of this article is an oversimplification. We cannot make an oversimplifying statement that voters in a state tend one direction when 52% of a state vote Republican (the information here would hardly apply to Ohio, for instance.) I have to say that I suspect that a lot of this article is an oversimplification. We cannot make an oversimplifying statement that voters in a state tend one direction when 52% of a state vote Republican (the information here would hardly apply to Ohio, for instance.) The same goes for some states that would be "blue". For instance, Illinois votes Democrat in elections because of Chicago, but there are many conservative voters in the Southern part.
