|This western is the sequel to the 197 western movie of the same name. It stars James "Grizzly" Adams, a former hunter who had been convicted of a crime he did not commit and had since fled to the mountains. He learns how to live off the land thanks to a Native American named Nakoma and a cantankerous but well-meaning trader named Mad Jack, the latter helping keep bounty hunters off of Grizzly's trail. Grizzly's best friend is a brown bear named Ben, whom he had saved when he was a cub, and this helps Grizzly befriend other wild animals and promise to protect them. The show teaches good morals like friendship, as Grizzly and his friends help travelers passing through the wilderness while teaching them about said wilderness and how to respect it.
