'''Kitty Werthmann''' (d. July 2023, at age 96) was an outspoken opponent of [[tyranny]], who gave highly acclaimed speeches in the [[United States]] well into her 90s about what she personally saw as a teenager in [[Austria]] when [[Adolf Hitler]] took over that country.

She was one of the last living [[American]]s who had come face-to-face with Hitler. For nearly 50 years she resided in Pierre, [[South Dakota]], where she was a volunteer advocate for freedom in the Capitol there.
