Changes

A movement to reestablish the [[Israel|Jewish state]] in the British Mandate of [[Palestine]].  The movement was started in the late 1800's by [[Theodor Herzl]], and in 1948 the modern state of [[Israel]] was established on a piece of land granted by the [[United Nations]] with the support of [[Great Britain]], the nation which had formerly controlled the land.

Not all Jews are zionists; religious Jews are often anti-zionist for theological reasons. see last links below.

Not all Jews are Zionists, Ultra-religious Jews, such as the [[Neturei Karta]] sect, are [[Anti-zionism|anti-Zionist]] for theological reasons.
