This plan of lowering prices to drive smaller competitors out of business and buy them up was perfected by [[John D. Rockefeller]] and Standard Oil and why [[anti-trust]] laws were passed in the United States. Only Russia, and now Ukraine, didn't have any such laws to protect small enterprises from unfair trade practices prior to Putin.
