:::::The concept of eternal ''conscious torment'' in hellfire was rejected by the Ante-Nicene Fathers and instead propagated amongst later perverters who, motivated by their anti-Jewish bigotry, incorporated silly Mithraist nonsense into Christian theology. Also, if your only pitch towards the spiritually lost is fearmongering ("you need to repent or God will torment you for literally forever!"), you are not preaching a gospel of love and are slandering the name of God by portraying Him as a sadist. And that's not even mentioning that you fail to understand the message God articulated abundantly clear: both soul and body are ''destroyed'' in hellfire. :::::::Given your continuous unrepentant vicious slanders against me in the past few months, it would appear that ''you'' qualify most for "likely under the law." Anyways... yes, we've been over this before: if you believe in eternal torment, you believe in Mithriast fantasies rather than the biblical truth that's so plain in the Scriptures. —[[User:LT|<code><span style="background:#FF8181">'''LT'''</span></code>]] '''''[[User talk:LT|(Matthew 26:52)]]''''' Wednesday, 10:33, May 10, 2023 (EDT)

No, I don't agree. That many will remain unbelievers even after Lazarus (not to mention Christ) rises from the dead is true, but Christ had no need to tell us what would in fact be an elaborate deception (on your view) to make that point. The only reason He tells us that Souls exist and go to Heaven or Hell is because they in fact do. Why have you adopted the SDA view when there's a wealth of Biblical Evidence against it? You are just beginning to read the Word of God. I would suggest studying seriously for at least another 5 to 10 years (perhaps at Seminary level, like I have) before coming to firm conclusions. I've shown many passages that show the departed are alive and at rest in Heaven, not "dead" and unconscious. "now he is comforted and you are tormented" (Luk 16:25).
