You not going to find archaeological evidence of a Golden Calf or of the other events in events in Exodus, so I found this video to be a stretch.

As far as where the mountain really is, the Bible doesn't give you much to go by. The Sinai peninsula is named after Mt. Sinai, so historically people have looked for it there. Josephus says it that Mt. Sinai is the highest mountain in Arabia Petræa. Exodus uses the phrase "mountain of God," which suggests that their was already a history of worship at this mountain in the time of Moses.
