:::::Since 1945, in terms of military victories, the United States has experienced little except military stalemate and loss. On top of this, the huge military expenses have helped make the USA less secure due to their help in building up the enormous national debt.

:::::In addition, the USA "community of security experts" have not secured the Mexican border - despite a very large amount of Americans dying of drug overdoses.

:::::The current US "community of security experts" have a terrible track record - despite the USA having two enormous oceans helping to protect the USA and the USA having the friendly northern neighbor of Canada. So it's time to stop listening to them and find ways to reduce their funding.

:::::Lastly, China is in bad financial shape and is a mercantile nation very dependent on foreign trade so its doubtful that they will attack Taiwan. In addition, amphibian assaults are difficult and even if Taiwan were successfully conquered by mainland China, much of its most valuable assets could be destroyed. ::::::The Atlantic. Now there's another pro-neocon, pro-globalist deep state publication. The official publication of the Atlantic Council, which was behind the Russia collusion hoax and NATO war in Ukraine. Two questions: (a) Why do you fill your head with such crap? and (b) why do you even bring it here for serious discussion? If you believe reading and citing The Atlantic makes you look informed or intelligent, it doesn't. It makes you look naive and brainwashed. Thanks. You are engaging in the genetic fallacy which is a logical fallacy.

So are you saying that America's post-1945 wars have been victorious affairs? At best, the best case that can be made is that South Korea is free. But the Korean War was a stalemate. And in 2020, President Donald Trump signaled that he wants South Korea to pay more than what Seoul is already paying for U.S. military presence there.

You blew it RobS with your past support for bloated USA military budgets. One of your heroes Colonel Douglas MacGregor says the USA military is bloated and needs to be pared down. MacGregor argues that it is the homeland that the USA needs to defend and that the USA should stop being interventionist overseas. ::::The options are to be pro-separatist across the board or anti-separatist across the board? That seems rather limiting. PeterKa (talk) 06:39, July 1, 2023 (EDT)

:::::I just have a hard time figuring out if separatists are good guys or bad guys. I note Western propaganda never refers to "US-backed Taiwan separatists" while the US official position recognizes Taiwan as part of China. And it's a little odd, seeing that providing arms to separatists is a violation of Chinese sovereignty and the  UN Charter.
