::I don’t disagree that works are important, but there is a fine line between those whose works are a reflection of their faith and those who think that their works are going to save them. You’re not going to get to Heaven just by giving up booze, ceasing to be mean to the neighborhood kids for no reason, or feeding homeless people, but a truly saved person should already know they’re going to Heaven no matter what they do but still want to do those things. I could go on a murderous rampage and kill a few thousand people and still go to Heaven, the thing is I don’t WANT to do that. And even when I backslide and start doing things I should not, I feel conviction for it, I think “hey I really should stop doing this” not because I think I’m going to Hell if I don’t but because I don’t want to disappoint my Lord and Savior.
