::::::::::::It's all black and white. In the full length version I saw, the first hour was a combat scenes with no dialogue in any language. The [https://youtu.be/Y1aLFfk_kqY Japanese Victory March Dance] is probably the most memorable scene. The film really captures the cruelty of the Japanese (at least from a Chinese perspective) and you'll come away thinking they're worse than German Nazis (the scene for example of throwing a child out a window takes 5 seconds, but in it context of the film I found extremely shocking). :::::::::::::Anyways, if you venture into this film, there's another one called "[https://youtu.be/tzYdPW5BldY Rabe]" which explains more of the context (John Rabe and his assistant are major characters in both films), but I'd recommend ''City of Life and Death'' first. (This is the [https://youtu.be/Eic4y6DI5Ec story of the "good nazi"] who is still honored in China today). Then there's still another film after you see those two, I forget its name right now, but it's still interesting, despite being filled the typical Hollywood garbage propaganda.
