Of course, the SA was an official organization was disbanded, but its members (many of whom were Communist recruits) continued in the Nazi Party.

In that specific case, one of the sins of the generation of the flood was indeed that <small>as stated in Midrash [Vayikra Raba 23] (and that they used to 'certify' it).</small> asides fromm other sins.
