Jewish influences in the Quran - relevant in light of recent discussions and to make sense of ongoing events
  −
  −
There was always one Great Difference between Christianity and Judaism, and that was (1) Christianity held Jesus Christ is the Son of God, (2) Judaism claimed Jesus Christ was not the Son of God. Then, Islam came along, and though professing to accept Jesus as Christ, yet repeated the error that (3) He was not the Son of God. As an educational point, the below from noted Christian Apologetics site Answering Islam is noteworthy: The Quran is compilation of much of Pharisaic or Talmudic Judaism. It sometimes even lifts lines from the Talmud.
  −
  −
"We have already seen that many of the narratives in the Qur'an and Hadith have extra-Islamic origins. In this section we shall briefly examine the substantial presence of Jewish historical and mythical material in the Qur'an. Indeed there is so much of it that whole books have been written on the subject and it is striking to find how heavily Muhammad relied on his Jewish contacts for the passages and teachings he ultimately set forth as part of the divine revelation.
  −
  −
So much, indeed, was Muhammad indebted to the Jews for a great portion of his teaching on this and other subjects that the Qur'an has been described as a compendium of Talmudic Judaism. (Blair, The Sources of Islam, p. 55)."

US county scraps ‘American Christian Heritage Month’ after local Jewish outcry
  −
  −
Sounds like more Christophobic Bigotry from Pharisaic Judaism. Not in vain did Jesus Christ warn: "“Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees” (Matt. 16:6). And again, in the Book of Revelation (3:9), the Lord God speaks of a Synagogue that wars against the Church and against Christian Nationalism. Christian Countries have every right to recognize their Christian Heritage, frankly.

Yes, normal Jews are like that, fairly tolerant. Left-wing Jewish organizations like the ADL, however, are another matter. From Conservapedia's page on them: "Its general stance on prayer in secular schools is that it is "unconstitutional."[2] The ADL also has a record of supporting gay rights, the separation of church and state,[3] hate crimes legislation, abortion and partial-birth abortion.[4] There is also evidence to suggest that the founders may have been Fabian socialists.[5]" This isn't Biblical Judaism they are practicing, it's Pharisaic Judaism, with an Anti-Christian Bent, and an attempt to subvert Christian and conservative values. That's the only issue here. NishantXavierFor Christ the King 13:59, September 26, 2023 (EDT)

Indeed, in many ways, it has become an utterly fraudulent organization. Its work now has very little to do with combating antisemitism. That's just the marketing costume or the pretext it uses to wield power. The real mission of the ADL could not be clearer. It's to advance the interests of the Democratic Party to ensure the empowerment of Democratic Party leaders and to protect and preserve the dominant ideology that the establishment wings of both political parties are devoted to – in particular, to protect the status quo ideology from meaningful dissent and populist anger."[6]"

Reminder: Pharisaic/Rabbinic Judaism's Impious Insults against Jesus Christ and Mother Mary in the Talmud, the Toledot Yeshu and Sefer Zerubabbel
  −
  −
"Postbiblical Jewish attacks on Mary assumed several forms. Christians were faulted for misconstruing Isaiah’s prophecy of a young woman who would give birth to a son to be called Emmanuel. The Talmud and other rabbinic texts picture Mary as a person of disrepute, the mother of an illegitimate son. A parody of the Christian Gospels called Toledoth Yeshu (Life of Jesus) names the lustful neighbor who assaulted and impregnated Mary, and proceeds to describe the dangerous behavior of Yeshu, a trickster. In reaction and response to the impressive growth of the Christian cult of Mary, a seventh-century Jewish apocalyptic treatise entitled Sefer Zerubbabel painted a deprecating portrait of Mary on the way to introducing and trumpeting the warrior heroine Hephzibah, the mother of the true messiah soon to come."

  −
  −

Reminder: The "End of the World" and 7 Year Tribulation cannot come until the Great Commission is Complete
  −
  −
This is relevant in light of certain people saying earlier "the world may end by 2027" and so on. Not only is that absolutely impossible because it's only 4 years away, and a 7 year tribulation must come, but also because, for even that Tribulation of Anti-Christ to begin, the Great Commission must be completed first, as Jesus Christ explains in Mat 24:14. Joshua Project estimates around 2 Billion People have not yet heard the Gospel, and at a Conservative estimate that it will take 5-7 years to reach 500 MN people, it's a safe bet that there are at least 20-30 years to go before the End of Time, though of course, as the Lord reminded His Apostles, only the Eternal Father knows the day.
  −
  −
Below, Christian Apologist Dr. Bill Craig explains eschatological perspectives: "The postmillennialist will say that there are indications in Scripture that the church will, in the power of the Holy Spirit, carry out this Great Commission and be successful in its mission. For example, Matthew 13:31-32.
  −
  −
Another parable he put before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed which a man took and sowed in his field; it is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.”
  −
  −
Here Jesus says that from its ignominious beginnings, the Kingdom of God is going to spread throughout human society and become a great cultural influence and indeed transform the world. Jesus tells a lot of parables of this sort. There are many passages that suggest that there will be this tremendous harvest of souls that will come into the Kingdom of God as the church fulfills the Great Commission.
  −
  −
Postmillennialists employ the same sorts of arguments against the literal interpretation that the amillennialist has already given. But they add this additional note – there is a great triumph that will occur through the church’s obedience to its Great Commission.
  −
  −
Against postmillennialism many people have said that this view was an overly optimistic and rather naive view of human history that came to a shattering end with the 20th century – World War I and World War II and the horrors that have followed the withdrawal of the colonial powers from the third world in the aftermath of colonialism. But I’m not persuaded that that kind of argument has any sort of merit in terms of the Scriptural warrant for or against a view. What we see in our lifetime could just be a tiny blip in the whole scheme of human history. If Christ returns, say, in AD 5,000 or AD 12,000 then what happens in the present century could be nothing. The fact is that the Christian church has grown from the most ignominious beginnings in the first century throughout the entire world, so that now there are over three and a half billion people on Earth that at least claim to be Christians. The Christian church and the Christian movement is in fact the largest, most successful movement in the history of mankind. It really is astonishing when you look at the history of how this movement spread geographically over the twenty centuries of its existence. So we must not take the short-term perspective and say that just because the past century has involved a lot of evil and suffering therefore the church is not going to be successful in its mission.
  −
  −
In fact, quite the contrary, it has been in the midst of this suffering and war that the growth of evangelical Christianity throughout the world has been without parallel in church history. The last twenty-five years of the 20th century were a period of church growth around the world that was simply unprecedented, as in Africa, Asia, and Latin America the church has grown by leaps and bounds. So we must not be misled by the disastrous things that are happening in our world to think that the church is failing in its Great Commission."

Gal 4:28, The slave woman and her son have no inheritance with those in Christ: "Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise. 29 At that time the son born according to the flesh persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now. 30 But what does Scripture say? “Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.” 31 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman."

Talmudic Zionism, like the false "Pre Trib Rapture" (The Rapture is Post Tribulation and even Post Resurrection according to 1 Thess 4, dead in Christ rise first, only after that the taking up happens) is false Theology. It all goes together: some people falsely believed, get Israel into a War, then Jesus Christ has to return, then allegedly they'll be "raptured" away. So sad. Erroneous theology with bad real world consequences. The End will not come until the Gospel has penetrated All Nations including Israel as Christ says in Mat 24:14.

:::Sundance is wrong about Ron DeSantis supporters defecting to RFK Jr. The only Republicans who would even consider voting for RFK Jr. are vaccine skeptics who agree that the Deep State needs to be totally dismantled and firmly believe that it was behind the JFK assassination, 9/11, and/or COVID. A few months ago, these people did indeed the core of DeSantis' base. However, once DeSantis decided to go full neocon most of them defected to either Trump or Ramaswamy. Now, all that remains of DeSantis' base are old-fashioned NeverTrumpers who would stay home, vote third party, or even vote for Biden/Harris/Newsom/Obama.--Geopolitician (talk) 23:14, October 8, 2023 (EDT)

If indeed it is a 3 person race, something like 40% of the electorate might be enough to win - it may come down roughly to 40% DeSantis, 30% Biden/Newsom and 20% RFK. DeSantis will win many of the hardcore Anti-Vaxxers who are now there in both parties, who will not vote for "I'm the Father of the Vaccine and saved "100 MN" lives with it" Trump. DeSantis will win those votes for the Republicans, as was evident even when DeSantis was on Bill Maher's show recently. Even some Liberals are Anti-Vax. Meanwhile, Trump will lose those voters. :It is 272 electors needed to win. RobSGive Peace a Chance!
  −
  −
And I think DeSantis will get 270, out of 538, which suffices. But if 3 Candidates run, then even 260 or so may be enough - let's say its 260, 250, and 28 seats, or thereabouts, for each of the 3 candidates. It then comes down to the below scenario:
  −
  −
"It takes 270 electoral votes to win the presidency. What if nobody reaches that threshhold?
  −
  −
There are two main scenarios where this could occur. Neither is likely at this time, but fun to think about. The first is a 269-269 tie between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. The 2nd involves one (or more) third party candidates getting enough electoral votes so that neither Clinton or Trump reach 270 ...
  −
  −
If no candidate receives 270 electoral votes, the House of Representatives will pick the president. Each state delegation gets one vote, regardless of the number of congressional districts it has. 26 votes, representing a majority of the states, are required to win."
  −
  −
https://www.270towin.com/news/2016/09/19/what-happens-if-nobody-gets-270-electoral-votes_376.html
  −
  −
In other words, if DeSantis does the above, and wins a simple majority of states (26, Trump won 30 in 2016), he wins the Presidency. NishantXavierFor Christ the King 12:04, September 30, 2023 (EDT)
  −
  −
:That's all shooting from the hip. You need a detailed analysis, state-by-state, particularly swing states with the current status of ongoing lawsuits and election reforms. That's where the battle is going on - not on issues like a candidate's stance on abortion or transgenders in girl's sports. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 13:27, September 30, 2023 (EDT)
  −
  −
Yes, I know more detailed analyses will be necessary in time, and I'll take care of that after the primaries are over when the General begins. For now, I'm just giving a summary: I think DeSantis will win all the states Trump won in 2016, plus two or three, especially if it's just a two person race. If it's a three person race or more, my understanding is he can afford to lose up to 4 states (winning 26), and still win the Presidency. And that he will do. The abortion and transgender issue motivates many voters from the Base, as does his Conservative stance on the debt and the border, his tough Anti-Covid-Vax stance brings in even some moderates and Independents, as was evident on the Bill Maher show; his being a Military Veteran who chose Service over Self endears him to many, even liberals, and his love for Casey and standing by her and fighting for her when she had breast Cancer shows also the loving devotion he'll have to America once he gets in. Of course, some of these things are not widely known just yet, but they will be in time. That's after the primaries are over.NishantXavierFor Christ the King 15:20, September 30, 2023 (EDT)

:Nah no no, not after the primaries. Now. Conservapedia needs to be ahead of the curve to inform our readers, not always reacting to the latest mainstream media bs coming down the pike.

Boom! Trump drops by 20 Points in 1 month with Pro-Lifers
  −
  −
Boom! What did I tell you? It's coming. Here's the source, from Students for Life Action, which describes itself as: "Mobilizing the Pro-Life Generation in a Post-Roe America. 🇺🇸 Advocating to not kill human beings in the womb. 🤱🏽 Like @studentsforlife, but political."
  −
  −
"JUST IN: Gov. @rondesantis pulls ahead of fellow GOP contenders in SFLAction's "September Political Pulse Poll" by 13%.
  −
  −
When asked who they would vote for if the 2024 Republican U.S. Presidential Primary were today, 42% of the Pro-Life Generation reported they would support Ron DeSantis, followed by @realdonaldtrump at 29% and @nikkihaley at 6%.
  −
  −
These results show a 21% increase for Gov. Ron DeSantis and a 20% drop for President Donald Trump in the last month. This follows the recent comments made by former President Trump that he believed Florida's Heartbeat Abortion Prevention Act was a "terrible mistake."

:Eh, unfortunately Trump is still commanding a solid plurality because the establishment-leaning/"traditional" conservative vote is now getting split between DeSantis and Haley. —<code><span style="background:#FF8181">LT</span></code> Rev. 22:13 Friday, 18:19, October 6, 2023 (EDT)

Iowa caucus is no more
Biden's disregard of our nation's norms and traditions does have the occasional upside: The Iowa Democratic caucus is no more. Why should any one state get to go first? It was always a ridiculous tradition. The winner in Iowa rarely went on to win the nomination.
