On August 23, 2023, Sidney Powell, the former attorney for Donald Trump, surrendered to the Fulton County sheriff after a special grand jury indicted her on seven charges the week prior. On October 19, 2023, Powell pleaded guilty to six misdemeanor counts a day before her trial was set to begin. Powell was accused of willfully tampering with electronic ballot markers and tabulating machines to remove voting data from elections systems. She will also provide all documents requested to the Fulton County District Attorney. She will also need to write an apology to Georgia and its residents.
