→Colorado issues most anti democracy rule in history
::::So the Colorado GOP has the option to break any agreement it has with the state to conduct the primary, and hold its own primary which would be binding at the national convention. But that means the party has to rent its own halls at greater expense, use its own staff volunteers, etc. [[User:RobSmith|RobS]][[User talk:RobSmith|''Zelensky didn't kill himself'']] 18:04, December 20, 2023 (EST)

:::::The state party has the option to use a caucus instead of a primary. See "[https://www.coloradopolitics.com/elections/2024/trump-lawsuit-colorado-republicans-plan-caucus-assembly-pick-delagates/article_12e09fbe-4dd5-11ee-8899-13dd19fd285a.html Colorado GOP plans to use caucuses, assemblies to pick delegates if lawsuit keeps Trump off ballot]." ::::::The only authority a state has in primary elections is what the two parties have agreed to give it. A state for example doesn't conduct shareholder meetings for a private corporation. And primary elections are private corporate elections for candidates to represent private, non-governmental parties.
