:*Basically, the barrel on an artillery piece has to be changed out after so many repeated firings due to friction. Previously, the artillery piece had to be towed back to Poland or Lithuania. Even though it's commonly known Russia outguns NATO/Ukraine in artillery & ammunition by 10-1, and NATO/Ukraine can't reach half of "parity" (to use User:Conservative's term) in 5 years, if ever, this is seriously touted as a solution in the [[Pentagon]] and Western media.
