→DeSantis is going to win Iowa, and it won't be close. DeSantis internal poll has 60,000 Caucus Commitment Cards
:Trump will carry Florida in the general election with or without DeSantis on the ticket - he doesn't need him. Kari Lake makes a lot more sense. RobSZelensky didn't kill himself 15:49, January 11, 2024 (EST)

For better or worse, populism is where the GOP base is (Blue collar working class people especially). And they are not going to vote for the Trump-Lite candidate DeSantis as long as Trump is a viable candidate. Because why have Trump lite when you can have Trump. DeSantis is funded by the business/establishment part/class of the GOP. And Nicky Halley is too much of a neocon for the GOP base which is sick of America's forever wars.

I know you are going to come back that DeSantis is more of a family man and religious man, but unfortunately people like that don't win elections now (Rick Santorum's and Mike Huckabee's presidential candidicies failed).
