Walz was picked over the leading contender Gov. [[Josh Shapiro]] of [[Pennsylvania]] as a concession to the [[violent]] and [[anti-Semitic]] pro-[[Hamas]] and pro-[[Palestinian]] elements of the [[Democrat party]].
Reacting to the events, Florida governor [[Ron DeSantis]] is quoted as saying: "Harris-Walz: most left-wing ticket in American history 'Minnesota was ground zero for the BLM riots of 2020. Harris egged it on and Walz sat by and let Minneapolis burn."
