Line 532: − :To be clear, in 2024, 11% of Republican or Republican-leaning Americans were very/somewhat favorable to Russia according to Pew Research.[https://www.pewresearch.org/global/2024/05/08/views-of-russia-and-putin/] − − :As far as my views on Russia, I support Russian behavior where I agree with them. For example, I was the first Conservapedian to share anti-homosexuality links from the Russian government run website Russia Today on main page right and I received flack about it from a Conservapedia Admin who didn't like Russia. In addition, I created the "cultural achievements" section of the Conservapedia Russia article. On the other hand, I disapprove of Russia where I believe it is warranted. Overall, I have a balanced view on Russia and believe America should work with the Russians where and when it makes sense (Namely, mutually beneficial shared interests) and we should oppose various things if it is warranted. I avoid the extremes of Russia can do no good or Russia can do no wrong. Overall, Donald Trump has a pretty good track record when it comes to Russia. − − :Regarding the position that "Russia is in the driver's seat": Russia has strengths and weaknesses which Donald Trump acknowledges. On the one hand, as far as Russia's strengths (for example, natural resources such as rare metals), Trump wants to work with Putin in a mutually beneficial way. As far as weaknesses, Trump on Truth Social said that Russia's economy is a "disaster" (Russia has sky-high inflation; labor shortages, rising corporate bankruptcies, etc.). In terms of deal making, Trump will consider both Russia's strengths and weaknesses and endeavor to find ways of the USA working more constructively with Russia where the two nations can benefit each other.
