I know you desperately want to tell me this or that thing about Russia, but its pointless to send me the messages because of the following:
1. Russia has a fertility/demographic/population crisis that it is not going to turn around.
2. Russia is not going to replace the big brain drain they experienced during the war in Ukraine.
3. The tariffs are going to hurt China which is Russia's biggest buyer of Russia's oil. Plus, China has a HUGE demographic crisis so they are a poor long-term customer of Russian oil - even if Russian production of oil doesn't drop 20-40 percent as per Oilprice.com in about 10 years or so.
4. The Europeans are going to take forever to lift their sanctions on Russia.
So Russia is very SOL.
Now does that mean that I have some kind of hatred of Russia or Russians? Absolutely not. I still plan on visiting Crimea and St. Peterburg, Russia. And as a nation, Russia has definitely punched above their weight in various things in the past such as chess players, novelists, ballet, technology in the past, etc.
My prediction is that the wealthy people of Russia will eventually want to raise their living standards so there will eventually be a reapproachment of Russia with the West.
