:Tariffs, non-tariff trade barriers/regulations and punitive trade policies are widespread in the world economy. And as I noted above, selling in the USA's market is a privilege and not a right. Many countries have had unfair trade surpluses with the USA and Trump is looking to rebalance this and increase the practice of reshoring US manufacturing. Given China's severe demographic crisis, reshoring American factories is a prudent measure.
