'''Hammond''' is a city in [[Indiana]], one of the Indiana suburbs of [[Chicago]].
It is home to the '''First Baptist Church of Hammond''', a notable [[Independent Baptist]] congregation which, at one time, claimed to be the largest congregation in America. For many years it was pastored by [[Jack Hyles]], then later by his son-in-law [[Jack Schaap]], before the latter was convicted of statutory rape.
