ISIS terrorist who plotted NYC mass slaughter gets 50 more years for blinding prison guard.
 +
By Ariel Zilber, October 19, 2026.
 +
 +
An ISIS terrorist who plotted a 9/11-style attack on New York City was slapped with another 50 years in prison Monday for stabbing two correctional officers — causing one to lose his right eye — while serving a 40-year sentence for his original terror conspiracy.
 +
 +
Abdulrahman El Bahnasawy, 28, of Ontario, Canada, has now been sentenced to a combined 90 years behind bars after pleading guilty to charges stemming from the December 2020 attack at a federal penitentiary in Pennsylvania, according to the Justice Department.
 +
 +
The additional punishment comes as his mother, Khadiga Metwally, is running for a school board seat in suburban Toronto — in the same district that made international headlines when shop teacher Kayla Lemieux showed up to class sporting enormous prosthetic breasts.
 +
 +
El Bahnasawy’s original sentence stemmed from a 2016 ISIS-inspired plot to detonate bombs in Times Square and the subway system and open fire on concert crowds during Ramadan.
 +
 +
The Canadian national, who once spoke of wanting to “create the next 9/11,” was arrested in May 2016 after traveling from Canada to the New York area to prepare for the attacks.
 +
 +
But prison walls did little to curb his appetite for violence, according to federal prosecutors.
 +
 +
On Dec. 7, 2020, El Bahnasawy stabbed a correctional officer in the head and face at US Penitentiary Allenwood with a makeshift weapon constructed from part of a steel desk in his cell.

He should denounce the jihadist movements enslaving and massacring blacks in African countries.

William McGurn (“A Rough Homestretch for Abdul El-Sayed,” Main Street, Oct. 20) captures the problem faced by Abdul El-Sayed who, when asked whether he’d disavow the Muslim Brotherhood, responded, “Sure. Yeah, absolutely.” That’s an unconvincing verbal shrug that a CBS correspondent called a “spectacular self-own.”
 +

Mr. El-Sayed can help fix this. All he need do is specifically denounce the jihadist movements that are currently enslaving and massacring blacks in Nigeria, Sudan and other African countries.

By Zachary Faria. October 23, 2026.

Abdul el Sayed is starting to crumble under the public pressure of his Senate campaign in Michigan, so he has sprinted to the Democratic Party’s old, reliable argument: Everyone criticizing him must be a bigot.

El Sayed has fully embraced this line of defense, telling a rally crowd about his debate with Republican candidate Mike Rogers: “We had a little debate. Or I had a debate, and he just pointed at me and said, ‘well, he’s Muslim.’”

The FBI raided the home of the left-wing Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed's mother in the early 2000s, likely in connection with a terror financing case that shut down the Islamic charity she worked for, according to El-Sayed's sister, Eman Abdelhadi.
 +
 +
Abdelhadi, a University of Chicago professor and the daughter of El-Sayed's Egyptian-born mother, Fatten Elkomy, referenced the raid in a June 2016 article detailing her experience at a New York City vigil for the Pulse nightclub shooting. Elkomy took issue with a line from one of the vigil's speakers, then-New York governor Andrew Cuomo, who promised to "do what we did after 9/11" and "build back a monument better than ever before."..

Netanyahu orders ‘daring’ plan to uproot terror in Judea, Samaria.

Oct. 25, 2026.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Saturday that he instructed the Israel Defense Forces and the Israeli Security Agency (Shin Bet) to draw up a “daring and comprehensive” plan unlike anything seen since the Six-Day War in 1967, aimed at uprooting terrorism in Judea and Samaria.
 +
 +
He spoke during an interview with broadcaster Channel 14, in which he was asked about the deadly shooting in Judea attack on Friday.
 +

Explaining his directive to the IDF and the Shin Bet, Netanyahu said that his government knows that “the Palestinian Authority is a body hostile to the State of Israel that seeks to eliminate us in various ways.”

Two Israel Defense Forces soldiers were killed and three others were wounded in the attack near the Yehuda Junction in the Hebron area of Judea. The IDF identified the slain soldiers as Staff Sgt. Ron Yonatan Roytman, 23, and Sgt. Yuval Shai Svilem, 20.

‘Sheep poisoned and left to die’: Palestinians targeted livestock 17 times this year, says Israel.

Oct 25, 2026.
 +
Israel’s Foreign Ministry said on Sunday that Palestinian attackers had “deliberately targeted” livestock in Judea and Samaria for the 17th time this year.
 +
 +
The ministry said the aim was to “harm Jewish shepherds and destroy their livelihoods.”
 +
 +
“This is calculated cruelty. Poisoning innocent animals to inflict suffering on the people who care for them,” it wrote on X. “A vicious act of violence. No excuses. No justification.”
 +

The latest poisoning targeted a flock at Or Nachman Farm in the Binyamin region of Samaria on Saturday, according to the Judea and Samaria Situation Room.
 +

The farm is located near al-Mughayyir, the group said, adding that most of this year’s poisonings originated from the Arab village.

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva won reelection Sunday, defeating Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, an ally of US President Donald Trump, in a razor-thin runoff election that capped a deeply polarized presidential race.

The historic victory makes the 80-year-old leftist leader the first Brazilian president to be elected to the office four times, after a campaign dominated by concerns over the cost of living, crime and corruption, as well as a broader rightward political shift in Brazil and across Latin America.

The Palestinian national movement has yet to accept Israel’s right to exist – opinion.
 +
Decades of conflict, failed negotiations, and the October 7 massacre raise a central question: Is the Palestinian national movement willing to accept Israel?
 +
 +
Uri Pilichowski. October 25, 2026.
 +
 +
For 78 years, the core of the Palestinian national movement has sought the elimination of Israel as a sovereign Jewish state.
 +
 +
The War of Independence (1948–49) ended with armistice lines that left Israel in control of more territory than the partition plan had assigned. Palestinian leadership and the Arab states continued to refuse recognition and maintained a state of belligerency.
 +
 +
An enemy is a party whose objective is the destruction of your nation rather than the adjustment of its borders or policies. A partner in a conflict is a party that disagrees on territory or rights and is willing to settle the disagreement through negotiation without the systematic use of violence against the civilian population or the institutions of the state.
 +
 +
The historical record places the Palestinians in the first category as an enemy of Israel. In November 1947, the United Nations General Assembly voted to partition the remaining territory of the British Mandate into a Jewish state and an Arab state.
 +
 +
The Jewish leadership accepted the plan while the Arab Higher Committee and the governments of the neighboring Arab states rejected it and launched a war to prevent the Jewish state from coming into being.
 +
 +
The Arab states that invaded in 1948 did so under the banner of preventing a Jewish state, and many of their leaders spoke openly of driving the Jews into the sea.
 +
 +
Palestinian fighters participated in the fighting, and in subsequent years the idea of return was framed not as resettlement in a new Arab state but as the reversal of the Jewish victory and the restoration of Arab majority rule over the entire territory.
 +
 +
In the 1960s and 1970s, Palestinian organizations based in Jordan, Lebanon, and elsewhere carried out airline hijackings, the murder of diplomats, and the attack on Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics. Their stated purpose was to end the Zionist state.
 +
 +
Attempts to reject the State of Israel.
 +
 +
These attacks were accompanied by a political program that rejected any Jewish sovereignty. Maps produced by Palestinian organizations showed the entire area as Palestine with no Israel. Speeches by leaders described the Jews as colonial invaders whose presence would be temporary and whose removal would restore justice to the land.
 +
 +
The PLO under Yasser Arafat adopted a charter that called for the liberation of all of Palestine and the elimination of the Zionist entity. Even after the organization formally amended some articles under American pressure in the 1990s, the practical policy of rejecting Jewish national rights remained in place.
 +
 +
Generations of Palestinian children have been taught that the land is theirs alone and that martyrdom in the struggle against Israel is the highest aspiration. This educational system makes a future generation of negotiators who accept Israel unlikely.
 +
 +
The First Intifada that erupted in 1987 mobilized large numbers of Palestinians in the territories captured in 1967. The uprising was presented as a popular revolt against occupation, yet its leaders rejected offers of autonomy that would have begun a process toward self-government without ending the Jewish state.
 +
 +
The Oslo process of the 1990s transferred administrative control of major Palestinian population centers to the newly created Palestinian Authority. When Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak offered a Palestinian state on most of the West Bank and Gaza with a capital in parts of Jerusalem at the Camp David summit in 2000, the proposal was rejected.
 +
 +
The Second Intifada followed within weeks, and more than one thousand Israelis were killed and thousands more wounded before the construction of the security barrier and military operations reduced the number of successful attacks.
 +
 +
A further offer by prime minister Ehud Olmert in 2008 that included additional territorial swaps and a shared arrangement for Jerusalem was likewise turned down without a counteroffer that accepted the permanence of a Jewish state.
 +
 +
Hamas, which won elections in Gaza and seized full control there in 2007, has never hidden its objective. Its original charter quotes religious texts calling for the killing of Jews and states that the land of Palestine is an Islamic endowment that cannot be relinquished.
 +
 +
Years of rocket fire from Gaza, the construction of attack tunnels, and the diversion of construction materials into military infrastructure prepared the conditions for the assault of October 7, 2023.
 +
 +
On that morning, thousands of fighters crossed the border, murdered civilians in their homes, raped women, and abducted more than two hundred hostages. The attack was planned over years and celebrated by Hamas leaders as a historic achievement that would lead to further stages of the struggle.
 +
 +
Public opinion surveys conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research in the aftermath showed that a majority of respondents in both the West Bank and Gaza viewed the attack as justified.
 +
 +
These findings are consistent with earlier polls that have repeatedly found majorities opposed to recognizing Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people and supportive of armed struggle as the primary means of advancing Palestinian goals.
 +
 +
Successive Israeli governments have negotiated, withdrawn from territory, and released prisoners in exchange for commitments that were later broken.
 +
 +
The pattern has been that periods of relative calm are used to rebuild military capacity and that every political concession is followed by demands for further concessions rather than by acceptance of a final status that leaves Israel intact as a Jewish and democratic state.
 +
 +
The meetings between Israeli leaders and Palestinian representatives over decades produced temporary arrangements and limited security cooperation in certain periods. They did not produce a Palestinian leadership prepared to abandon the demand that Israel disappear or be reduced to a non-Jewish entity within borders that would leave it unable to defend itself.
 +
 +
This record establishes the Palestinians as an enemy of Israel in the precise sense that their dominant political movements seek the destruction of the Jewish nation-state. The distinction guides the necessary response.
 +
 +
Security requires the ability to prevent the concentration of forces that can carry out mass attacks, the denial of international legitimacy to groups that pursue eliminationist goals, and the maintenance of defensible lines until a Palestinian leadership emerges that is prepared to live alongside Israel rather than in its place.
 +
 +
The Jewish people returned to sovereignty in their land after centuries in which they lacked the means to defend themselves against those who sought their destruction. The present generation carries the responsibility of ensuring that the state created for that purpose continues to exist. Understanding the nature of the adversary is the necessary starting point for that task.

Drama in Serbia: Pro-Israel President Vucic concedes election defeat.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic concedes electoral defeat after 14 years in power, as a student-led opposition movement scores a major political victory.

 +
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic conceded defeat on Sunday in a parliamentary election that marked a dramatic political turning point for the Balkan nation, ending 14 years of dominance by the longtime leader and his right-wing Serbian Progressive Party.
 +
 +
The election followed two years of sustained demonstrations organized by a student-led opposition movement, which emerged as the principal challenger to Vucic's government.
 +
 +
The President, who received the endorsement of Russian President Vladimir Putin, had accused the protest movement of being part of a foreign-backed effort to remove him from power.
 +
 +
Although voters were presented with 18 parties competing for seats in Serbia's 250-member Parliament, the election effectively became a contest between Vucic's Serbian Progressive Party and the Students' List, which attracted support from young voters and a broader opposition coalition.

According to projections, the Student List won a parliamentary majority with 52.1% of the vote and about 138 of 250 seats. Vuci’s party took 39.3% and around 104 seats.

Serbia, a country of approximately 6.4 million voters, experienced unusually high electoral participation throughout Sunday, according to The Associated Press.
 +
 +
Long lines formed outside polling stations early in the morning, with election observers reporting turnout levels that could approach 70%, a figure not recorded in the country since 2000.
 +
 +
The voting took place amid heightened political tensions and reports of violence in several parts of the country.
 +
 +
In central Belgrade, police wearing riot gear established a security perimeter around the headquarters of the national election commission.
 +
 +
Special police vehicles were also deployed near a park in the capital where Vucic supporters have maintained an encampment for more than a year.
 +
 +
Local media reported several violent incidents during the day, underscoring the tensions surrounding the closely watched election.
 +
 +
Vucic has been regarded as a supporter of Israel and has maintained close diplomatic relations with Jerusalem during his years in power.
 +
 +
In 2020, he announced plans to establish a Serbian diplomatic mission and an economic office in Jerusalem, signaling his government's commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.
 +
 +
That same year, Vucic marked International Holocaust Remembrance Day by displaying a yellow flag at his official residence in Belgrade.
 +
 +
The flag featured a Star of David and the word “Jude," recalling the identifying badges that the Nazis forced Jews to wear during the Holocaust.
 +
 +
Vucic published a photograph of the flag on social media, accompanied by a message emphasizing the importance of remembering the Holocaust.
 +
 +
Diplomatic cooperation between Serbia and Israel continued in subsequent years.
 +
 +
Last year, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar hosted Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Đurić in Jerusalem for discussions on developments in the Middle East and opportunities to expand relations between the two countries.
 +
 +
During the meeting, Sa'ar expressed appreciation for Serbia's support of Israel, emphasizing that Belgrade had demonstrated its friendship through concrete actions as well as public statements.
 +
 +
He contrasted Serbia's approach with that of countries that had sought to pressure Israel through embargoes and proceedings before international courts, noting that Serbia had continued supporting Israel during a particularly challenging period.
 +
 +
The relationship was again highlighted earlier this year when Serbia strongly criticized UN special rapporteur Francesca Albanese over remarks concerning the country's defense cooperation with Israel.
 +
 +
During a visit to Belgrade, Albanese accused Serbia of cooperating "without shame" with Israel and alleged that Serbian-made weapons were being used in Gaza.
 +
 +
Serbia's Foreign Ministry rejected her accusations, describing the comments as "unbalanced and activist" and condemning them as an "unacceptable interference in internal affairs."
 +
 +
The ministry also maintained that Albanese's statements exceeded the appropriate scope of her UN mandate.
