Mary Magdalene was a Jewish woman from the tribe of Benjamin who was also a disciple of [[Christ]]. She appears many times in the [[New Testament]]. Mary came with [[Jesus]] on his journey to [[Jerusalem]] and witnessed his [[crucifixion]]<ref>Luke 23:55</ref>. She was also the first one to see that Jesus had resurrected<ref>John 20:1-2</ref>.
