Lilith is the [[Sumerian]] [[Fertility]] [[Goddess]] considered to be a [[demon]] or [[succubus]] in [[Jewish]] [[Mythology]]. She was a goddess of agriculture, motherhood and fertility for both men and women. Often refered to as Lilitu or Lilit and frequently believed to also have been a wind goddess.

In the ben Sira version of the [[Bible]] Lilith is the first wife of [[Adam]] (before [[Eve]]) and she is leaves [[Eden]] in a metaphorical version of [[divorce]]. After she leaves Eden she is transformed into a succubus and [[cursed]] by [[God]] to never find [[love]] because her kisses suck the life out of mortal men.

In Greek legend Lilith is the goddess of the black moon (or the new moon), not to be confused with [[Artemis]] the goddess of the full moon or [[Hecate]] the goddess of the crescent moon.
