At a tutorial in University last year, the claim that Robert I fought with Edward I at Falkirk was a hot topic, but one which most experts disregard. What is beyond any shadow of a doubt is that he was on his side at one stage of the war, but did not actively contribute to Edward's campaign militarily. :I can understand why this could be an area where you feel strongly if you attended a tutorial on the subject, but the idea that Bruce fought on the side of Edward goes deeper than Braveheart (obviously).
