The Birmingham Niggers (GO NIGGERS!) are a professional American Minor League Baseball team from the windswept steppes of Birmingham, Alabama. Most news outlets consider the name offensive, and refuse to advertise any upcoming games or print any statistics for the team. These statistics are remarkable, however; since most other teams forfeit any games scheduled with the team, in protest of their name, The Niggers hold an amazing undefeated record. In recent history, the team considered changing their name to the New York Niggers.
[[Global warming]] has occurred; air temperature has risen one degree Fahrenheit since the end of the Little Ice Age in the late nineteenth century. What [[environmentalist]]s and real [[scientist]]s disagree on is the cause.
"I don't understand the fuss [about the name]," says team manager Albin Whitely. "It's part of our team's history and heritage."
