Sort of, the theory was used in a wrinkle in time though definitivy not elaborated upon.

Could you rephrase that in a complete sentence without non-words like "definitivy" and then explain why this concept is encyclopedic? [[User:Claude|Claude]] 14:21, 6 December 2007 (EST)

The tesseract is a mathematical concept (I will add a link to a more detailed page).  It was used in L'Engle's book, which is how most people become acquanted with it. [[User:Boomcoach|Boomcoach]] 14:22, 6 December 2007 (EST)

The tesseract is a construct in multidimensional geometry. Useful in mathmatics but a bit hard for an understandable definition. In L'engles book the tesseract was used to move from earth to other planets. The implication was that many remarkable things are possible with a greater understanding of the universe. I consider it more a fictional device in the book rather than a reality based thing. When the book was written it may have been much more unusual. There was also a movie based on construction of a hypercube.  [[User:Markr|Markr]] 19:28, 17 October 2008 (EDT)
