'''Archery''' is a sport which involves developing accuracy in shooting a [[bow]]. Archery may also refer to [[bowhunting]], the sport of hunting [[game]] using a bow.
Humans have practiced archery since very early times. Genesis 27:3 contains the Bible's first mention of a bow, when [[Isaac]] asks [[Esau]] to go hunt some game for him.<ref>http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=1&chapter=27&version=31</ref> Early bows were simple. Arrows were made of wood with stone arrowheads.
Today, archery is a highly competitive sport, included in the [[Olympic Games]].<ref>www.usarchery.org/</ref> Most modern archers use [[compound bow]]s, which deliver maximum accuracy and speed.<ref>http://www.archeryisfun.com/</ref> Arrows have also changed, as most modern arrows have aluminum or carbon shafts.
