The '''Battle of Halbe''' occurred in late April,1945,during [[World War II]], South-East of [[Berlin]], between [[Soviet]] forces led by Marshal [[Ivan Konev]] and the remains of the German 9th Army. Soviet forces won a major victory. About 30,000 German soldiers were killed and 25,000 others were captured.
