6. 'George Washington. Was he really great?' In my opinion, he wasn't really all that great. Sure he was a great general and a great president, but he really didn't do much of significance. We have had dozens of presidants since George Washington, and dozens of generals. And all (Or most) has done an equal, (If not better) job at it then he did. He got the fame simply because he was first.

7. 'Join or die'. A picture of a snake broken into eight parts, to symbolize 'South carolina' 'North carolina' 'Vermont' 'Pennsylvania' 'New Jersey' 'New york' and the eighth one is unreadable. I think it was a message to all of the other colonies to join the revolution. If they didn't, they would die. I think I'd probably date this picture to a few years before the Revolutionary War.

H1. What I find interesting, is how much smaller some of the colonies were back then. I wonder if the people knew how big some of them would get.What also interests me is how they mapped out the colonies. They couldn't just use an airplane to take a birds eye view picture, or use satellites, so how would they have been able to map it out?
