The fourteenth was made to give equal rights to all races: Making sure that all people, black and white alike have the same freedoms, and privileges.

My favorite is probably 'Stonewall' Jackson. Not because of the side he fought for, or because of the side he opposed, but because of his bravery and cunning. He had courage, and was greatly respected. He was a great military figure. Imagine being called one of the greatest generals in our country's history!

Maybe I would have done more to abolish the Ku Klux Klan. More then they already were doing at the time. I would have made it one of my top priorities to get rid of the K.K.K; sending out union spies to find their headquarters, or simply battling them.  And I probably would have paid more attention to the south, and what they were doing or planning. Even though they were re-building themselves, they still succeeded once, and they might do so again, if they had been pushed.

I find that to be humorous, and maybe that could be a homeschooling trait as well.

I think the idea here is the Lincoln is having a dream, or a nightmare that McClellen wins the election of 1864. It was rumored that Lincoln had prophetic dreams that often came true, or were of some importance.

I think that columbia, or lady liberty is telling the U.S that every man has equal rights, and equal amounts of respect as said in the fourteenth amendment. The man siting next to her is also probably chinese.
