Baramins of plants. OK now?
Line 46: Line 46:
Thus, organisms that are found to be continuous in a BCS potentiality region form a holobaramin or monobaramin (depending on if all organisms within the potentiality region are considered), whereas those that are discontinuous form a polybaramin or apobaramin (again, depending on completeness of the organisms considered).

Very many botanical species of plants can and do cross-hybridise with other species. Wheat can hybridise with rye, for example, and raspberry with blackberry. As there may be a continuum of links between cross-hybridising species, this implies that there is a very small number of baramins of plants. For example, the each family of flowering plants could be regarded as, in effect, one super-baramin.
