*The problem with these complaints against TK (and Bugler) is that these two do a good job in being forceful towards vandals and liberal parody (those with a surface knowledge of the issues whose long term goals are to make the site look bad), using the blocking tools isn't easy.  TK (and Bugler)'s activities also tend to promote meaningful discussion through corrective actions, which is part of the idea behind convervapedia.  With all due respect to JessicaT, I think she might be inadvertantly suggesting that the baby be thrown out with the bath water. (And yes I've been blocked by TK before, so I do understand this issue fairly well I think). --RickD 08:49, 19 December 2008 (EST)

::One cannot have that "pleasant work environment" that BRichtigen talks about if editors start with the premise that all Admin blocks are unfair, and demand to know why. That from the get-go is a hostile act, and there are darn few such inquiries that are made nicely.  And odd as it seems, most such demands, when we check, come from socks of previously blocked users.  Imagine that.  BRichtigen, your block wasn't a "mistake".  Roger's only complaint to me was that he did not clearly see the reason I blocked you for.  CP, for over a year has been under siege and attack, literally scores of vandals and trolls sign up daily.  It is neither unfair, or unreasonable to ask that the email through this wiki be used to protest blocks, or make inquiries into what essentially is a private matter, that of being blocked.  It is also especially important to remember that Admins here are also volunteers, and in most cases are our most prolific contributors. Finally, while I am nowhere near the "top blocker", I was number one at undoing blocks, or at least I was as a sysop. If someone has really been treated unfairly, I rarely have to be prodded to ask the blocker to undo their block.  And I am certainly not shy in calling Ed Poor up and asking his help to do so, or talking to Andy about it either.  But if I find half a dozen IP's recently used, with a dozen other editor names, there isn't going to be much sympathy. Same for stories about your_______(friend, brother, sister, son, daughter, grandpa) using your computer that you didn't log off of to vandalize this place, or insert false facts. Yes, I have gotten such emails many times.

::Schlafly says this isn't a debate forum, and he means it.  He owns it, it's his, and it is his absolute right to enforce that rule. It isn't a matter of wrong or right.  Those are the rules. It isn't logical, nor is it even polite, to sign up here (or anyplace) and then be so rude as to tell your host they are wrong, and this is the "right way" the place should be run. Now, create several dozen new articles, do a few thousand substantive edits, and then bring up your ideas, that's another story altogether.  So if your idea of how a place should be run differs from our procedures, and you feel the need to agitate for change constantly and argue non-stop, that doesn't make you a bad person. It just makes you a person who cannot, or will not contribute anyplace that isn't run as you demand. My suggestion is, rather than argue non-stop here, and await the inevitable to happen, go and find the the kind of encyclopedia that is run to your specifications, and join it.  That isn't being mean. That is called being direct and honest. --₮K/Talk! 10:00, 19 December 2008 (EST)
