Armistice Day was November 11, 1918. It was the day that World War I was ended with the signing of an armistice, at eleven o’clock in the morning (during the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of nineteen eighteen, as it is famously remembered). The treaty was signed by the Allies and the Germans in France.
