Acadia National Park is was one of the first national parks. It encompasses more than 47,000 acres of lakes, ponds, mountains, forests, and ocean shoreline along the coast of [[Maine]]. Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park is the tallest mountain along the eastern coast of the United States.
