American Taliban is a derogatory term used by liberals and atheists to describe conservative Christianity in America. Because of their opposition to gay marriage and abortion, liberal extremists categorize this as being equivalent to the Afghan Taliban who controlled Afghan society and forced Islamic law at gunpoint. Specifically, the term is most often used in reference to pro-life activists who attempt to disrupt the abortion industry in America.
