'''C#''' is the name of a computer [[programming language]] first introduced by [[Microsoft]] and standardized through [[ECMA]] as ECMA-334<ref>http://www.ecma-international.org/publications/standards/Ecma-334.htm</ref>. The standard is cross-listed with [[ISO]] as ISO/IEC 23270:2006. C#, pronounced "C sharp", is in the family of the [[C]]/C++ computer languages. Like C++ and [[Java]], it is an [[object-oriented]] language. The Microsoft "dialect" is known as "Visual C# .Net".<ref>http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vcsharp/default.aspx</ref>
