The ''sine qua non'' of a conservative is maintaining blind faith in the words of Rush Limbaugh in order to determine what to do. Additionally, a conservative is willing to overlook ethical behavior or fair treatment for the disenfranchised in order to adhere to religious dogma. Conservatives of this type, more correctly called "neo-cons" in order to distinguish them from true conservatives who are now called libretarians, do not believe in small government, but instead in an expansion of government in order to keep the populace rigidly controlled by a values system reminiscent of the 1950s.  Specifically, conservatives seek or support:
