:::::: No, our schools did not lie. Losing the war and being invaded have a huge diffrence, you know? Finland surrendered, yes, due to several reasons, but was never invaded. Otherwisely we would still be under Soviet/Russian control, wouldn't we? Also, the Continuation War wouldn't have happened if Soviets would have invaded; of course the Finnish defence force would have been culled. So yes, it was a conflict, not an invasion. Please cease trying to tell me better of my own country's history - we do study it here, you know =D. (JK)

:::::::One of the reasons we have an encyclopedia is to explode myths and false stories, which indeed are taught in public schools. Anyone locked into what they were told at age 12 is unlikely to  appreciate serious history.  You might ask yourself how the Russians got on the north side of the Finnish defenses and forced a surrender if they did not invade.[[User:RJJensen|RJJensen]] 11:02, 6 October 2009 (EDT)

:::::::: They did, yes? I never contested that (that they got past the defended, and thusly invaded) and yes, I meant of course permanent invasion. Anybody not knowing of Finnish history who would look at the first sentence and see "The Soviet Union invaded Finland, a neutral, on November 30 1939." Which, of course, misleads you. You should start with the beginning - tell a bit about how the war starts between Soviet Union and Finland, then go to the part where soviet union gets past the Mannerheim line and Finland signs a peace treaty. And yes, I was a bit mistaken - I, of course as I am not a native english-speaker, looked at the word invasion, and as the finnish word for invasion always brings to mind complete and total controlling of something (which the soviets never had of finland - believe me, a very old person I know would be aware if there had been), not the brief occupation of Soviets. Russians have never posessed Finland completely after it declared indepencence, which I said in the first message, which was correct. And about insultiveness - thank you for the bit about me being locked in to what I heard when I was 12 and not appriciating serious history. Also thanks for very quickly stating that my schools lie to me - maybe public schools in where ever you live lie to you, not in where I live. This is the Trustworthy Encyclopedia, the heroes of USA? Oh, I think I see the bit there - USA. Nice job you've done over the years - the country of miseducation and idioticism for sure. I am happy to get banned, as I will most likely not visit this crap-site again. But maybe I should comment on your pathetic hate-mongering over atheism..?
