Someone should add the results and explain that Doug Hoffman lost the election by a significant margin, most likely because mainstream Americans aren't as conservative as Doug Hoffman especially in New York and by pushing out the moderate republican who easily could have won the district which republicans have held for 152 years, the extreme right wing of the republican party has damned this poor district to having a democrat congressmen. Ever heard of the "False Consensus Effect"? Look it up. It's when someone thinks the rest of the population thinks like them even though the statistics say otherwise. Like when an extremist conservative thinks the majority of republicans in a liberal state like New York are extremist conservatives and they force out a moderate candidate who could have easily won. Look at the results, it wasn't even close. Someone should add that.
