Elton John is an outspoken [[liberal]] and [[homosexual]] activist. In 2005 he "married" his partner David Furnish in a so-called civil partnership ceremony in Windsor, [[United Kingdom]].
Worrying news followed in January 2011 when the singer announced that he and Furnish would be adopting a child.
