==Anime and Conservatism ==
To attempt to show anime under the light of American Conservatism would be unfair to their creators. There is no Conservative movement in Japan and Christianity is often ether used as a story telling tool with a lot of things added to it or nonexistent. Depending on the creator, Anime may come off as using the Liberal idea of evil not existing or that people are the product of their environment and not their choices. This is usually seen when a backstory is given for a villein to give them pity points which they ether go mad and the Hero defeats them reluctantly or the bad guy turns a new leaf with a hug from the hero.
This isn't uncommon for the Japanese because that is how their culture works. But it doesn't mean that some Anime can't come off as still carrying what Americans would call Conservative undertones. If you can stick with the story, the Gundam series appears to do this as it is commonly a civilian fighting for freedom in many forms.
Code Geass is a futuristic story were the US doesn't exist and instead a revolution happens in Japan making the United States of Japan. Though soon after a United Nations is formed so that might rise some eyebrows. Take it with a spoon full of sugar and you won't be disappointed in the story.
Full Metal Panic is also an Anime that appears to carry Conservative undertones but your option might be diffrent.
