Fry (With Christopher Hitchens) very famously took part in a debate on the BBC programme Intelligence<sup>2</sup>, debating the topic "Is the Catholic church a force for good?" against Anne Widdecombe and Archbishop John Onaiyekan. The (well mixed) crowd was asked to vote at the end of the debate. Fry won by an overwhelming margin, 1876 against and only 268 for<ref>http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/andrewmcfbrown/100014133/intelligence-squared-debate-catholics-humiliated-by-christopher-hitchens-and-stephen-fry/</ref>. Arguably, this is a far more significant thing to include on this page than his weight.
