I actually have no problem with Leviticus. I just wish to point out that a prohibition against what are now know to be fictional beings is not that interesting. Perhaps wizards were more of a problem then. The other phrases are to give context to the prohibition. Leviticus has lots of laws, and perhaps some people think they can pick and chose, others do not believe you can.
