Strategic National Stockpile

The Strategic National Stockpile is a repository of medications and vaccines stored by the Department of Health and Human Services for use in times of national pandemics.

In early 2020, nearly 100 million doses of hydroxychloroquine were donated to this stockpile by pharmaceutical companies for use in combating COVID-19.
