I believe that the story of Adam and Eve is a parable that answers the classic philosophical question of "if there is a god, why do bad things happen to good people?", right there in Genesis. I have Wednesday off, so I'll edit the page then. --Pious (talk) 02:48, 6 September 2016 (EDT)
