Why label him a conservative? Are you trying to discredit him?

We should not place political labels on scientists, unless we have a good reason. For example, Noam Chomsky is much better known for his leftist political views than for his academic specialty, linguistics. He brought transformational grammar to prominence, but then he exploited that prominence to promote ideas outside his area of demonstrated competence. *HE* deserves a political label. --Ed Poor Talk 08:32, 30 January 2010 (EST)

  • The Robinson Curriculum, which teaches grammar to high school level students.

I think it covers a lot more than grammar. And doesn't it teach the younger grades, as well? --Ed Poor Talk 13:08, 29 October 2010 (EDT)
