Joaquín, it's great but what about his beautiful garden? AlanE 17:52, 11 October 2008 (EDT)

Do you mean this one?:
Monet painting in his garden in Argenteuil

G'day. No, not Argenteuil. I meant his garden at Giverny where he spent the last half of his life. It is open to the public and has become a big attraction. I If ever I get back to France.....sigh. AlanE 13:13, 12 October 2008 (EDT)

Je Suis Désolée, Je ne le connais pas. --User:Joaquín Martínez, talk 15:13, 12 October 2008 (EDT)

I suppose if I were to write Je ne le connais pas Francais it would be nongrammatical or something. I know very very little French...I only know Je suit seule for instance because of the Massenet aria. I can pick out a lot of words but the grammar is beyond me. Cheers. Connetre (sp?) is used more with people, kinda. Like, "I know my friend John", "Je connais mon ami John." Savire (again sp?) is for knowing facts. Like, "I know how to speak French", "Je sais comment parler Francais." At least, I think so. I know the definitions are right, but the sentences might be off. Oh, and you don't need "le" in that sentence, since the direct object (Francais) is stated (I think). Hope that helps :-) LiamG 16:29, 12 October 2008 (EDT)
Thanks...I think. Joaquín likes to play jeux with me. (I know that one because of Bizet.) AlanE 16:36, 12 October 2008 (EDT)
